Gegard Mousasi has stated he is now taking his training more seriously and one of the first things he did was return to Gokor's Hayastan MMA Academy and asked Gokor to help. Gokor Cornered Mousasi on his recent Strikeforce fight and with this win Mousasi will be moving to UFC and a potential Title run. Below is an excerpt from MMAJunkie.com about the fight. She Explains how Gokor Introduced her to MMA and credits a lot of her success to the training that he has given her.

Crowd favorite "The Master of Cool" Kevin Forant dominated on Friday Aug 3, 2012 by defeating Joe Elmore via unanimous decision at XFC 19 in Charlotte, NC.
The Event was shown nationally for free on Axs TV (formerly HD Net) for Axs Fights.
Elmore looked to take the back of the hometown fighter in the first round, but Forant was able to shake him off and gain top position. Forant stayed there for the remainder of the round.
Elmore attempted a guillotine, but was easily defended by Forant and went back to his bread and butter of controlling Elmore. Forant moved from several different positions on the mat to easily take round two.
After yet another guillotine try, Forant got on top and did the same as in rounds one and two. After three rounds, Forant earned the clear-cut unanimous decision win.
Forant who trains at Hayastan-IMB MMA in Charlotte, NC under Head Coach Paul Booe has now been signed to a multi Fight contract with the XFC based on his dominating performance.
All future fights with XFC are planned to be televised on Axs TV.

On Thursday July 19th 2012 Fight Lab Promotions, one of the nations most popular regional organizations, presented “Fight Lab 26” from Coyote Joe’s in Charlotte, NC. The card featured a full slate of amazing fights. The fifteen fight card saw only four fights go to the judges, three of which were in doubt until the final tallies were read. Featured on the card were highly touted prospects; Solon Staley, Dudley Spence, and Aaron Osborne; as well as breakout performances by Lawrence Dennis and Tony Tan.
Tony Tan vs Cody Wells- 155 lbs Fight Lab Title Fight
Round 1 – Wells with an early jab, and stuffs a takedown. Tan continues to work and gets the takedown. Wells stands, but is taken right back down. Tan takes the top, locked in Wells’ guard. Tan stands, Wells ducks under and tries to take Tan down. A quick scramble and Wells is on the bottom, but has a triangle position. Wells lands several back hands from there. Tan works through the position, and finally breaks the lock. As Tan looks to advance Wells rolls and takes Tan’s back. The round closes before Wells can capitalize. Tony Tan takes the opening round.Round 2 – The two quickly tie back up, with Tan getting the hip toss takedown. The fight doesn’t stay down long. Wells stands, but is trapped in a tight guillotine. Tan wrenches it tighter and leans back. Wells is forced to tap out.
Official Decision – Tony Tan wins via submission (guillotine choke) at 1:14 of Round 2
