Junior / Teen MMA
Martial Arts tend to impact young adults’ character through a martial art culture of establishing expectations and putting all energy into reaching the next level in training.
MMA stands for Mixed Martial Arts. It is a full-contact combat sport that allows for the use of both striking and grappling techniques, both standing and on the ground. MMA incorporates techniques from various martial arts such as boxing, Muay Thai, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, wrestling, and judo, among others.
The sport has gained popularity in recent years, with organizations such as the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) and Bellator MMA hosting major events that draw large audiences. MMA fighters compete in a cage or an octagon-shaped ring, and typically wear thin gloves and protective gear such as mouthguards and groin protectors.
